The client wanted a "WOW!" sunset for his cover, but Ag Printers doesn't own any decent sunset photos.
The origianl shot was a daytime landscape.
With layers of color and style manipulation, I transformed Ag Printers' best landscape photo into their best sunseet landscape.
The painting took just under seven hours, and sold the company after six prior rejected covers from the rest of my design team.
I removed most of the highlights to create a night scene for the back cover. The client wanted the sunset used as much as possible, so I split it up for the header and footer requested for their inside spreads.
The sunset design ended up being used numerous more times throughout the season. It highlighted brochures, mailers and display boards for marketing and sales shows.
